Transport Ministry

We thank God for sending people from far and near to our church, to learn the truth of God and to worship and serve our Almighty God with us. To some of them, when somebody offer transport to them, they are able to be with us. Yet if transport is not available, they are restrained from coming. If we can be a part of the Gospel work by offering our service in transport, it is a blessing from God, for we are enabled to do so. Your sacrifice is remembered by God, and God will reward you richly. Serving God is never in vain.

You can help in two ways:

  1. Be one of the drivers of the church van on Friday night and Sunday. It's a long-term service. If you are willing, you will be rostered to serve in a certain period.
  2. Offer one or two way transport for people around your area using your own car.

We have people coming from different suburbs who need transport, from Mt Lawley, UWA, Manning, Thornlie, Murdoch, Myaree, South Perth and other areas. If you can be of help, please contact Bro.Samuel Ho.

Nursing Home Ministry
Every Sunday at 2.00pm from church

On Sunday afternoons, volunteers leave from church at 2.00pm to go to Concorde (South Perth) and Brightwater (Subiaco) nursing homes. We sing hymns with the old folks and the Pastor or one of the deacons of the church preaches a short message. When they see us to take them to the main hall for worship, their faces immediately light up with joy, saying things like, "So sweet that you all come and visit me."

It is also encouraging that even at their age some are still receptive to the Gospel and have come to accept the Lord as their own Saviour. We really rejoice with them when we see them believe in the Lord and were saved. Seeing how the Lord works is really wonderful and indeed gracious that He is not willing that anyone should leave the world without hearing the Gospel of salvation.

This is a just a bit about this ministry. There are so many things that words cannot really explain but in order to understand it, you would have to come along and see it for yourself and I can say that the old people will be really happy to see you. Like the love of God, we cannot really explain it to another person as clearly and understandable as when one experiences it. However, we are given the power to share this love and that is indeed what we must do. If you would like to be a part of this ministry, please contact Bro. Robert Wong.

Hospitality

The Christian who loves the Lord Jesus Christ is commanded to love his brother as himself. Whenever someone is troubled or has need of friendship and companionship, our duty is to minister to them sincerely and whole-heartedly. This visitation ministry is good for those with a genuine concern for their fellow brother or sister in Christ and is one of the most important ministries of the Church. Members of this ministry will also visit new families in the Church and make them feel welcome to the Church. If you feel that you have the spiritual gift of hospitality and would like to be a part of this ministry, please contact Deacon James Wong.

Library

The Church Library is often called the heartbeat of a Church, it is an essential part of a Christian's spiritual growth to always seek more spiritual knowledge and learn how to be a better Christian, through the Bible and through other spiritual books.

Our church library has an extensive collection of Christian books, Bible study tools and audio tapes which is available to all. The church library requires librarians to ensure that all borrowed materials are recorded and that the library system is up-to-date.

Church Maintenance or "Busy Bee"
Bi-monthly on Saturday 9.00am

(to be announced)

The church building, from time to time, needs to be maintained and tidied. Every now and then the church will make a call to all the members to volunteer in this blessed task of keeping our church clean and in good order. This is usually called the Busy Bee which takes place on a Saturday morning from 9.00am-12.00pm.

Most of those who do the manual work are the young people as well as the adult members of the church. Lunch is provided by several aunties who always cook a delicious meal for those who toiled and laboured in their love for Christ. If you are a strong and able-bodied member or just have the willingness of heart to help, we'll see you at the next "Busy Bee".

Kitchen Ministry

The kitchen ministry is quite self-explanatory. Once a month, our church provides free lunch after the Worship Service. The kitchen ministry helps with preparing, washing and cleaning for lunch. On other Sundays, the kitchen ministry prepares coffee and biscuits for members after Service.  We are looking for people in the church who will be willing to give up their time for kitchen duties.

Worship Ministry

This ministry includes ushers, welcomers, traffic controllers, PA system operators, hospitality, offering stewards and worship leaders. The people involved in the Worship Ministry ensure that the Sunday worship service runs smoothly. Newcomers are welcomed at the door, ushered in and looked after by the hospitality people after service. The PA system operators ensure that the sound system is operating well. Anyone who is looking for a copy of the sermon can see the PA system operators after service.
